WHY TWO ROSES
your space in my heart doubles each day
but that's not why you get two roses today

you're always in my thoughts
but often we're apart
I can't give you my soul
or a piece of my heart

but what could I give to keep you safe and sound
at those times when you're lonely
and I'm not around

a rose keeps you company
standing tall and strong
to look out for you
and make sure nothing's wrong

but is it fair to the rose when you go away
no one to be with and nothing to say

so when you're not near the rose
those times you're with me
I got a second rose to keep the first one company
